TIFA WOOD GLUE MS-D4

TIFA WOOD ADHESIVE MS-D4 is a 1-component filling, weather- and water-resistant D4 wood adhesive based on MS.

APPLICATION:

TIFA WOOD ADHESIVE MS-D4 is specially developed and KOMO certified for bonding of window frames (BRL 0819) with certificate number 21101 and windows and doors (BRL 2339) with certificate number 33443/24.

Certified wood species are: Accoya, Meranti, Red-grandis and Sapeli. TIFA WOOD GLUE MS-D4 complies with class D4 and watt 91.

Applicable for non-load-bearing wood constructions and joints of hard, soft and exotic wood types.

PROCESSING:

The substrate must be clean, dry, dust- and grease-free.

TIFA WOOD ADHESIVE MS-D4 apply on one side.

For optimal bonding, the temperature (between +10°C and +30°C) of the environment, material and adhesive should be the same.

The wood moisture content should be between approximately 8–14% and there should be no difference between the core and the outside of the wood.

The open time at +20°C is approx. 20 minutes. Apply 300 grams/m² (±10%) TIFA WOOD ADHESIVE MS-D4 one-sidedly and evenly to the surface to be glued.

The tolerance of the connection fit must not exceed 0.3 mm. Bond connection within 15 minutes.

Higher temperatures and/or higher humidity levels result in shorter open time.

After closing the connection, maintain the pressure (max. 20 bar) for 5 seconds.

The adhesive needs a minimum of 6 hours to build sufficient strength.

Therefore, try to prevent at all times during this period that excessive load on the bonds could cause the adhesive seams to open.
